Andrew Fraser

Executive-in-Residence at the London Business School


Andrew Fraser is currently serving as Executive-in-Residence at the London Business School. He is also an Independent Advisor to a number of Corporations and Government bodies, including senior advisor to Mitsubishi Corporation (UK) Plc and Chairman of the Advisory Board of BASAAR Ltd. He serves as a member of Council for Worldaware, a UK-based organisation working to raise awareness of international development issues.

Until recently Andrew served as Chief Executive of Invest-UK, the sole Government body marketing the whole of the UK to international investors and acknowledged to be among the foremost development agencies worldwide. During his six-years with Invest-UK from 1994, the total Foreign Direct Investment stock has more doubled, and in 1999 Invest-UK posted record results with over 757 projects. He was Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development for Saatchi & Saatchi between 1981and 1992. His extensive experience in international advertising also includes positions in Young & Rubicam and as Managing Director of McCann Erickson in Thailand from 1976-86. Andrew also developed the European client base of CDP Europe/Dentsu during his time as Managing Director between 1992 and 1994. Andrew serves as a Director of the UK - Japan 21st Century Group and the UK-Korea Forum for the Future and is a member of the RIIA Membership Committee and the UK Panel 2000. Andrew graduated from the University of Sussex School of English and American Studies, Harvard School and UCLA.
