Yasar Jarrar
Head of Government Policy and Strategy unit in the Dubai Government Excellence Programme
Dr. Yasar Jarrar (PhD, MSc and BSc) is a Senior Advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers International Development (UK), and with PWC working on Public Sector Reform in the Government of Jordan. Based at the Prime Minister’s office, Yasar is advising on developing and managing a performance management system for the Government of Jordan.
Yasar is a visiting Research Fellow at Cranfield School of Management (UK), a Visiting Lecturer at Bradford School of Management (UK), a Visiting Professor at the “Universita Degli Studi Della Basilicata, Facolta Di Ingegneria, Potenza” (Italy), a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Performance, and worked on applied research and training for various sponsoring organizations including DHL, Bank of Scotland, Arla Foods, BTCellnet, Greggs of Yorkshire, DTI, and Accenture. Major research areas include Performance Measurement and Management, Process Improvement and Six Sigma where he authored numerous reports and papers.
He is also currently the adviser on Government Policy and Strategy in the Dubai Government Excellence Programme. Working on overall improvement and development programmes for the Government of Dubai.
Yasar is also currently an Honorary Visiting Fellow in Total Quality Management at the European Center for Total Quality Management, University of Bradford, UK, and has been an invited speaker in numerous national and international events.
Prof. Jarrar previously worked as a Quality Management Consultant and Industrial Engineer in the Middle East.
