Laurence Lyons

Member of the Associate Faculty at Henley Management College


Laurence Lyons is a Member of the Associate Faculty at Henley Management College, where he is Director of Research of the Future Work Forum. He is the Principal of Metacorp (est. 1990), a consultancy advising clients on business strategy, leadership and organisational development. He is also a Senior Vice President of the Executive Coaching Network, Inc. based in La Jolla, California. Dr. Lyons is an accomplished and astute business manager, consultant, speaker, author and senior management trainer with highly analytical and pragmatic skills. Laurence is an excellent communicator, with twenty years experience gained in line and staff positions in small, medium and large organisations in the Information Technology Industry.

Selected Publications: Together with Professor David Birchall, he is co-author of the highly successful book Creating Tomorrow's Organisation, published in the Financial Times Management Series. Dr. Lyons has written many articles and has appeared in publications of the Institute of Directors and the Peter F. Drucker Foundation. He has also been broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

Consulting/ Clients: Laurence has designed and delivered intensive, tailored workshops, which combine the above elements to some of the UK's and Europe's leading companies across all sectors and also in not-for-profit organizations. His clients include: British Airways, Unilever, Price Waterhouse Coopers, British Broadcasting Corporation, WH Smith, Dresser Industries and EDS. His consulting career extends over several years and covers blue chip multinationals and a number of SME's. Assignments have invariably been top-level, typically being sponsored by the organisations' Senior Management Team and involving major strategic organisational change.
