Tassu Shervani
Business consultant and former Marketing faculty member at The University of Texas Graduate School of Business
Dr. Tassu Shervani is a specialist and consultant in the areas of shareholder value, strategy and business models, innovation, and business development. His clients are from the manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services, energy and technology sectors and Dr. Shervani’s approach is to help define and implement appropriate business models that drive shareholder value.

From 1991 to 1998, Dr. Shervani was a full-time faculty member at The University of Texas at Austin where he taught in the Graduate School of Business. Since 1999, he has operated as an independent consultant.
Selected Publications:
He has published articles in the IEEE Engineering Management Review, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Market-Focused Management, Business Horizons, and the Review of Marketing. He has won the American Marketing Association’s Maynard and MSI/Paul Root Awards for his research. Translations of his papers have been published in a number of other languages.
Dr. Shervani served on the Board of Directors of Exterprise Inc., an e-business software and services company funded by Austin Ventures, Dell Ventures, Morgan Stanley and Vignette. In May 2001, Exterprise was acquired by e-markets company Commerce One.
Dr. Shervani received his M.B.A. from the Xavier Institute in 1984 and his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in 1991.

Dr. Shervani has been involved in consulting and executive development at a number of major corporations Including 3M, ABB, Accor, Alcoa, American Airlines, Andersen Consulting, Bay Networks (now Nortel Networks), Bell Atlantic (now Verizon), Dell Computer, Deutsche Bank, IBM, Imation, Input/Output, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Kulicke & Soffa, Landmark Graphics (now Halliburton), Motorola, Prudential Financial, RHR International, Sequent Computer (now IBM), Tektronix and Texas Instruments.
